Help my computer is slow! A slow computer is perhaps the most common symptom of spyware. Whether its during startup or just in everyday use. If you notice that your computer has decreased from its original speed, it usually means that there are too many things going on at once, and often because your computer is infected with multiple spyware programs that are draining your computers processing power.

Slow Boot-up

To solve slow boot-up:
-Click Start
-Run
-type MSCONFIG & press Enter
-click Startup tab

Select the items you don't want to run on bootup and remove the tick. (The tick can be put back later if you really need the program on boot). Make sure you create a Restore Point BEFORE starting the above operation. Look at the boot-up programs and look for anything suspicious.
